They called themselves the Renegades

The Alabama Energizers combine with the North East Lady Rockets to form the Alabama Renegades to play in the YBOA National Championship in Florida. The Renegades won 3rd place making them the 3rd best team in the nation. In pool play they had 4 Wins and 1 Loss. They won 44 to 41 against Baltimore Storm, 50 to 18 against Georgia Pistols, and 55 to 33 against North Georgia Indians. The Renegades one loss came in the final game of pool play against the North Carolina Stingers. This was a game they should have won, but could not get their shots to fall.

The above win/loss placed the Renegades as 4th seed in bracket play. They played their first game against Maryland and won 42 to 28. They advanced on to play against the Kentucky Vikings,  #1 seed. They were up 5 points against the Vikings and lost Big Baby to a sprained ankle with 4 minutes left in the game.  Till then they had the Vikings on the run, but ended up loosing to the Vikings 48 to 39. The loss put them in the loosing bracket to play for 3rd and/or 4th place against the North Carolina Stingers. They ended up beating  the Stingers this time 33 to 36 for 3rd place.

The Renegades received a team trophy, individual medals, and Brittany Clark (Big Baby) was picked to receive The All Tournament Team Trophy. The girls had much fun and did not want to come home. The Girls and Coaches pulled it together to represent Alabama.
